MARC ECKO LAUNCHES EXCLUSIVE PREMIUM STREETWEAR COLLECTION

American fashion designer Marc Ecko will launch an Italian-made collection for Fall 2009...Marc Ecko Prescription. A unique collaboration with Italian fashion house Montezemolo, resulted in a collection combining Marc's personal art and edgy design sense with experimental textures and European tailoring.

Marc founded Ecko Unltd. in 1993 using clothing as a way of getting his are "out there". Marc said "Today I have an art studio that serves as my lab. The Prescription collection has enabled me to disseminate my art without the rules and restrictions of mass production. I could be hand- on with each piece and tweak it in a way that it reflects my vibe in an authentic way. Each piece in the collection is loaded with its own personality, which offers a sort of journey and sense of discovery to my customer. It is like doing a blog or keeping a diary in fabric and needle work rather than paper and pencil."

The line will include outerwear, tailored jackets (blazers) with coordinated vests, woven shirts, knit tops, cargo and dress pants and reversible cashmere sweaters. In addition there will be a numbered and signed range of handcrafted accessories like belts and flasks. Each piece will feature elements unique to this collection, ranging from a prescription pill button to vegetable dyed fabrics, with retailers able to customize elements of the collection to appeal to their particular consumer. Marc Ecko Prescription will be sold through select men’s boutiques in the United States and Internationally.

John Cena Wears Marc Ecko Cut & Sew

Three days before "The Day the Earth Stood Still" blasted into theaters, John Cena, wearing an Ecko Unlimted "Warriors" tee, headed to Marc Ecko Cut & Sew to get some swagger for his red carpet arrival. The New York premiere was held by 20th Century Fox at AMC Loews Lincoln Square, New York. WWE star-turned-actor John Cena was one of the attendees along with the film's cast ensemble, Keanu Reeves, Jennifer Connelly, Jaden Smith, Jon Hamm, Kathy Bates and director Scott Derrickson. They were joined by celebrity guests Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith, Joel McHale, Jennifer Westfeldt and Jon Hamm. Iron Marc? Marc Ecko Re-Designs Iron Chef Jackets

Marc Ecko unveiled his new designs for the Iron Chef's last night on Iron Chef America Battle Turkey episode.  The Food Network had a special Thanksgiving battle...Iron Chefs Bobby Flay and Michael Symon took on Iron Chefs Masaharu Morimoto and Cat Cora in an intense culinary scuffle.  We aren't going to tell you the outcome, you can find out on here.  

Marc Ecko fitted the Iron Chefs in some brand new kitchen jackets—each reflecting their own unique style.  According to Ecko, "The challenge was with all of these Iron Chefs, we didn't want to make anything overly stagey, overly uniform, overly costume." Now the chef's have a little more street cred, check them out.
